Accessibility is all about making the world more equal
A large part of the population has special needs that limit their ability to interact with mobile applications. Such people suffer from visual impairments and blindness, hearing loss, neurological disorders, hearing, touch or motor skills and physical handicaps to name a few.
By law, organizations and businesses are required to allow people with special needs to make use of their content in any format, as well as (and especially) on mobile applications, which are tremendously popular.
To make things much clearer for developers and users, The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) has come up with a set of accessibility standards named the “Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0”. The new standard defines three levels of accessibility readiness, A, AA and AAA, in which AAA is the highest level.
SignifiKa was founded to assist mobile app developers in complying with the new standard, making the world a little bit more equal and fair.
